There’s just five weeks left until the 2013 Orange International Street Fair.
Organizers have announced that vendor booths have sold out, but some volunteer slots and sponsorships are still available.
This year’s theme is “Sweet on Summer,” marking the 41st year of the Street Fair in downtown Orange.
More than 200 vendors will set up within 15 themed areas based on cultures – sections of streets dedicated to food, beer and crafts from, for example, America, Mexico, Germany, Italy and Greece.
Each year, the fair draws about 400,000 patrons to the Plaza over a three-day period the weekend of Labor Day.
Adam Feliz, vice president of the nonprofit group that runs the fair, said food booths run by nonprofit organizations generate $8,000 to $20,000 in sales during the weekend. The fair also contributes about $200,000 each year to the city to offset overtime costs for police, firefighters and city crews working the fair, Feliz said.
This year’s fair kicks off at 5 p.m. Aug. 30, and runs through Sept. 1. For a complete list of this year’s vendors and other information: orangestreetfair.org.
